The Jackson Township First Aid Squad joined the Jackson Mills Fire Company, Station 54, and the other fire departments and emergency services of Jackson Township in mourning the loss of Ex-Chief Raymond Hosford, a 28-year member of the fire service, a 9/11 responder, and a former member of the First Aid Squad. Chief Hosford's body was welcomed back to Jackson from Pittsburgh by a procession of emergency apparatus, including three Jackson First Aid Ambulances (226, 227, and 228).
Funeral services were held on May 11 and 12, 2013. A Jackson First Aid ambulance was on hand both days to provide medical support, and over twenty members of the Squad appeared in dress uniform to pay their respects to a fellow member of the Emergency Services community.
